The focus of the class association, is to promote fun, friendly and competitive racing. We organise a variety of events throughout the UK, from training days to open meetings, as well as our annual Coastal and Inland Championships.
The more experienced Vago sailors really enjoy passing on their knowledge and are always on hand to offer friendly advice and encouragement. This is reflected in the racing, which is typically very close, although not taken too seriously.
The association is here to protect your interests and oversee the class rules. It takes an active role with LaserPerformance in examining any changes to the boat so that any proposed changes do not greatly improve the competitiveness of the one-design boat.
Joining the UK Laser Vago Class Association has the following benefits:
Meet fun, friendly, like minded Vago sailors Share your experiences both online and at events. Pick up tips from those at the front of the fleet and have a good bit of banter with those around you!
Annual training events - Access to top, professional coaching at our annual training events, which in recent years have been held at Hunts SC, Yorkshire Dales SC and Tudor SC. We often have class members run informal training events on the Friday of 2 day opens.
